Employee content type fields are automatically populated via a link to the Relationship Management System (RBS).
The starting point is that the website is bilingual. This means that every piece of content on ru.nl is offered in both Dutch and English, and thus every content type must also be translated. This also applies to employees. Read more about this in the input instruction Translations.
It is possible to add a public-friendly description to an employee's profile. This is particularly interesting for researchers that you want to highlight on a theme page, for example. You can also assign research themes to researchers' profiles, based on which you can compile overviews of researchers by theme.
- Go to Content.
- Look up the collaborator in Drupal's database:
- In the title field, enter the name of the employee in question.
- Click on filter
- Select the appropriate person and click on edit
- Scroll to the 'Expertise description' field. Note: so not the 'Expertise text' field.
Field | Description |
---|---|
1. Description expertise |
Audience-friendly description of an employee's expertise. For example, think about what (press) questions the staff member could answer. |
2. Theme |
Select one or more research topics in which the employee has expertise. |
Note: You cannot edit or add to the other fields in the Employee content type. This is overwritten by information entered by the employee himself in RMS (another system).
