Create and publish job posting

Updated on

Via a link, vacancies are loaded from PXS (source system) into the content type 'vacancy' in CMS Drupal.

  • The content of the fields cannot be edited in Drupal (the input in PXS is leading).
  • However, it is possible to add a video, extra logo (image) or attachment to the vacancy in Drupal.

Partner vacancies are created by M&C in Drupal (other page). Provide the following: duration (date of publication and de-publication, link to vacancy text, any accompanying text.

Job posting: Content tab

Below is an overview of the fields that are populated from PXS.
Preview: click on the three dots on the right side of the screen to expand the menu. Click display to view the job posting.

  • Organization item entered in PXS or BASS must match RBS, otherwise vacancy will be rejected by the link.
Job posting: Contact tab

Check if the correct primary e-mail address of the employee is entered in PXS (possibly check the correct address in the organization directory). Based on the email address, Drupal checks if there is a match with the employee's profile. If there is, the employee's name is correctly displayed in the contact block and there is a link to the organization directory.

View and edit job posting
  • View
    Go to https://www.ru.nl/en/working-at/job-opportunities
  • Edit/add
Log in, into the CMS at www.ru.nl/login. You will then enter the Drupal editorial environment.

Please note that a logged in user (job editor) can also see 'unpublished' jobs at the front end in the job listing, which are therefore not visible to visitors.

Publish job posting

Once you create a job posting in PXS, it is also created in Drupal with status unpublished. That means only logged-in users with the appropriate permissions (Vacancy Editor) can view it.

  • To publish the job posting, check 'Website RU' in PXS and click Publish.
The vacancy will then have the status 'Published' and will be visible to visitors on the website.
  • To undo the publication, check 'Website RU' and click Delete.
The job order will then get the statis 'Unpublished' in Drupal and will only be visible to vacancy editors.
Preview job posting

Once the job posting is created in PXS, it can be previewed in Drupal by logging in. Logged-in vacancy editors simply see unpublished vacancies in the vacancy overview on the website.

Note: logged-in users (vacancy editor) can also see "unpublished" jobs in the job overview.

  • The DateStart field in PXS determines from when the job may be published (in Drupal: start date). If you enter today's date then the published/may be published checkbox still determines whether the job order is actually shown at the frontend.
  • The DateDelete field in PXS determines until when the job posting is online and can be applied for (in Drupal: Apply at the latest).
