Customer journey managers can create a announcement or alert block that by the guiding rules can be displayed on different pages in the site.
Announcement blocks are formatted as gray blocks. Warning blocks are marked with an exclamation symbol.
- Go to structure > block layout > add custom block.
- Click Announcement or Alert (the next steps are the same for both blocks).
- Enter a short description of the block so that you can quickly find it in the custom blocks library.
- Enter a title.
- Add an announcement text.
- If necessary, add a link to a page with more information.
- Click save.
You will be redirected to the setup page of the created block.
Based on rules, you can set where the block should be shown. This can be at the content type level, by taxonomy term, on web forms, by language variant, on specific pages, by roles and on specific views.
In most cases, a rule will be set to show a block on specific pages.
- Specify pages by their path. Enter one path per line. The '*' character can be used as a wildcard. An example path is /user/* for each user page. <front> is the front page.
- Select the 'area' where the notice should be displayed on the page (top/bottom).
Click save block.
Note: did you not set any rules? Then the block is shown directly on every page. You can disable the block on the block layout overview page.
